Prof.Xuanhui Qu and his team from Beijing advanced technology innovation center of material genetic engineering won the second prize of national technology invention for "manufacturing technology and application of high-performance special powder materials with near-final shape".
High-performance materials play an extremely important role in the development of high and new technology field. The technology of this project not only realizes the near-final shape manufacturing of high-performance difficult-to-process materials, but also reaches or even surpasses the international advanced level of similar technologies in terms of forming capacity and material properties. The high-performance special material products developed by the project have been successfully applied in the industries of smart phones, optical fiber communications, laptop computers, medical devices, power tools, automobiles, etc., and the achievement completion and technology promotion and application units have become the new product development partners and suppliers of well-known enterprises at home and abroad, such as apple and Google.
The project has built a professional company with the best technical level and production capacity. Among them, GIAN company is the only one in the world listed in the single business of powder injection molding. Future high-teach company took the lead in building the automatic production line of high water end injection molding. The production line of aluminum nitride powder has been built in Xiamen, which has realized bulk supply and broken the monopoly of Toyama company of Japan for decades. In 2017, it won the first prize in the sixth China innovation and entrepreneurship competition. In addition, the relevant technology has been promoted and applied to more than 20 other enterprises. In the past three years, it has increased sales by 5.4 billion yuan and profits by 700 million yuan. It has authorized 60 invention patents, formulated one industry standard, published 257 papers, and trained more than 300 postgraduates. It has contributed to China's development as the world's largest producer and marketer of powder injection molding products. The related work of prof.Xuanhui Qu and his team has also been well received by the international counterparts, and two products have won the "outstanding innovative product award" of the world powder metallurgy conference in 2018. The chief editor of the international journal of powder injection molding has personally written articles for three consecutive years and made special reports and promotions on the project results.
