NACE International was founded in 1943, is the world's largest organization of corrosion, currently has more than 37000 people from 140 countries are members and member organizations, aims to promote global academic and technical exchange, professional training certification, industry technical standards and the development of periodical publications, promote the whole society can protect life, property and environment from corrosion. NACE International Asia Pacific consists of 18 clubs and 7 student clubs from China, Australia, Korea, Japan, Thailand, Pakistan, Indonesia, India, Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines and other countries and regions.

Dawei Zhang, a professor at Beijing university of Science and Technology, Ministry of Education "in" southeast Asia material Corrosion and protection field scientific observation, research director of the Chinese society of Corrosion and protection of Marine fouling protection Technology professional committee, deputy director of the part-time Corrosion Science deputy editor and NPJ Materials Degradation, journal of metal (English version), Corrosion Engineering Science and Technology staff, etc. He is mainly engaged in the research of intelligent surface protection technology, microbial corrosion, big data evaluation and prediction of material environmental failure, etc. More than 100 academic papers have been published in journals such as Nature, Quality Science, Journal of Materials Chemistry A and Chemical Engineering Journal. He has been awarded the Beijing Science and Technology New Star, the First prize of Science and Technology Progress of the Ministry of Education, the first prize of Beijing Technology invention and other honors.
