Beijing Advanced Innovation Center for Materials Genome Engineering Oversea Talents Wanted
Founded in October 2017, Beijing Advanced Innovation Center for Materials Genome Engineering is a high-level international innovative platform, supported by Beijing Municipal Government and led by the University of Science and Technology Beijing. The ultimate goal is to establish an international top-class research platform for materials genome engineering by gathering top-notch personnel, conducting frontier exploration research and cultivating high-level talents.
To further strengthen the research team, the center is now recruiting excellent and innovative talents from all over the world, and cordially welcomes excellent experts and scholars to accept the appointments and join this center.
I. Research Fields
The center has five major research fields and each field has several research teams, in which there are one team PI and several research members. The team PI will take the responsibility to lead and manage the team. The center is planning to recruit team PIs and researchers in the following research fields:

II. Job positions and remuneration
There are four types of research job positions for oversea personnel in the center: outstanding scientists, chair scientists, senior scientists and postdoctoral research fellows.
The candidates shall be "Rigorous in Research and Venerating Practice". They should have good ability of team work and outstanding communication skills.
(I) Outstanding scientists
Qualification: The candidates should be the Nobel Prize winners, members of Academy of Sciences or Engineering in developed countries, or equivalent.
Remuneration range: 1.2M - 2M RMB /year for a full time employee; 0.15 M - 0.3 M RMB /month for a part time employee.
(II) Chair scientists
Qualifications: The candidates should hold positions equivalent to chair professors and above in well-known overseas universities and research institutions, or has been selected by the “Thousand Talents Program” as candidates (excluding Thousand Youth Talents Plan), etc. Their age shall generally not exceed 65 years old.
Remuneration range: 0.8M - 1.5M RMB /year for a full time employee; 0.1M - 0.2M RMB /month for a part time employee from oversea.
(III) Senior scientists
Qualifications: The candidates should be professors, associate professors or equivalent in well-known overseas universities and research institutions, or have been selected by the “Thousand Youth Talents Plan”. Their age shall generally not exceed 55 years old.
Remuneration range: 0.6M - 1M RMB /year for a full time employee from oversea.
(IV) Postdoctoral research fellows
Qualifications: The candidates should be young talents who meet the basic requirement of National Postdoctor Regulatory Commission in China, obtained a doctoral degree in a well-known overseas university or research institution, and has made outstanding achievements in relevant research areas.
Remuneration range: ¥0.2M - 0.4M RMB /year for a full time employee.
III. Additional Information:
1. The PI of the research team shall generally meet the requirements of the employment of an outstanding scientist or a chair scientist.
2. The full time employee in the center shall work no less than 9 months every year. The part time employee in the center shall generally work in between 3 and 6 months per year, but no less than 1 month per year under some special circumstances.
3. The remuneration range refers to pre-tax income, including basic salary, housing allowance, living allowance, social insurance, transportation subsidies in Beijing and international travel expenses.
4. For a part time employee, the working time at the center for the total of 22 days shall be counted as one working month. They shall normally work at the center for no less than five continuous working days at each time.
